TheZeal.co.nz’s official subreddit, r/TheZealBets was banned Thursday evening, shortly after sharing a "raw transcript" of an on-the-tiles Q&A session between reporters and ACT Party leader David Seymour from earlier in the day.

The article titled; "Karakia: Ritual or Roadblock?", provides a raw transcript of questions and answers put to the ACT Party leader pertaining to karakia, and was shared on Reddit with the lead-in:

The article was shared on popular subreddits:

When users attempt to visit the r/TheZealBets subreddit, they are met with a content box stating: “r/TheZealBets is banned”.
