X Suspends @TheZealNZ

The official X account for TheZeal.co.nz, @TheZealNZ, is currently suspended following a series of conflicting decisions by X Support.

@TheZealNZ was first suspended on 23 August 2026 for alleged “inauthentic behaviors”. Later that same day, X reviewed the appeal, determined that no violation had occurred, and restored the account.

The account was suspended again the following day. After further appeals, X reviewed @TheZealNZ again on 31 August, found no violation, and restored it to full functionality.

Just over five hours later, @TheZealNZ was suspended again for the same alleged violation.

X has not identified any specific post, login, interaction or other activity responsible for the suspensions. @TheZealNZ is the genuine social-media account of TheZeal.co.nz and has not used bots or unauthorised automation, purchased engagement, artificially amplified content, or impersonated another person or organisation.

TheZeal.co.nz has asked X for another human review and for clarification about whether the repeated suspensions are being triggered by user reports, automated enforcement systems or another process.

For now, @TheZealNZ remains suspended.

TheZeal.co.nz will continue publishing normally at thezeal.co.nz.
