National holds a narrow lead over Labour in the final 1News Verian poll before Saturday's general election, although falling support for its coalition partners has changed the parliamentary projections.

The poll, released on Tuesday, November 3, places National at 30%, up one percentage point, while Labour climbs two points to 29%. The Greens have risen one point to 16%.

ACT has fallen two points to 10%, while New Zealand First has also dropped two points to 8%. Opportunity remains unchanged at 6%, and Te Pāti Māori has edged up from 0.1% to 0.4%.

According to 1News projections, the existing National-led coalition would secure 58 seats, down from 61 in last week's poll. Opportunity is projected to win seven seats, although Māori electorate results and potential overhang seats could significantly alter the parliamentary balance.

Verian surveyed 1,006 eligible voters between October 29 and November 2, with a maximum sampling error of approximately ±3.1 percentage points. The figures represent a snapshot of voter support rather than a prediction of the election result.

Advance voting is already underway, with voting closing at 7pm on Saturday, November 7.
